PONDICHERRY INTERNATIONAL SAFETY TRAINING ACADEMY [PISTA] was established in 2018 with the sole intention of providing a World Class Safety Training Service to the International Offshore O&G Industry goers from the Southern India region.

The training services conducted here are as per the latest OPITO Approvals and are carried out professionally while keeping in mind the current COVID-19 safety norms as per UN- WHO’S DIRECTIVES.

    1.     THE PISTA ADMINISTRATION TEAM:

The Administration staff comprises qualified specialists, who constantly develop administrative activities, which aim to fulfill the requirements of our individual and corporate clients. Simplified BOOKING, REGISTRATION, AND INVOICING PROCEDURES and responsive and quick follow-up, etc. ensure building a comfortable atmosphere for the Trainees and bookers alike.

2.     THE PISTA TRAINING TEAM:

 The most important feature of our service is our Training team and the well-designed course Schedule which adheres to OPITO provided guidelines and timetables. The Transfer of both Theoretical and Practical knowledge is achieved with specialized engagement and INTERACTIVE/DISCUSSION BASED SESSIONS and lectures. The qualified and talented trainers ensure that every learning outcome is achieved while making sure that language is not a barrier.  

3.     THE CLASSROOMS & TRAINING ARENA:

PISTA features 4 advanced Learning rooms that can spaciously accommodate the 16 Maximum numbers of training delegates (as per OPITO’s INSTRUCTOR –DELEGATE RATIO). Each of the fully air-conditioned rooms is equipped with PROJECTORS, WHITEBOARDS, TRAINING MANUALS, LAPTOPS, etc. which enhance the learning environment. The Informative posters, handouts, samples, etc. add to the convenience of the Trainees.

The Training Arena houses 2 Pools (15-Feet & 5 Feet depth each) allow for realistic simulation of water survival activities and trained SAFETY DIVERS, SAFETY LOOK-OUTS, AND POOL SUPERVISORS along with the COURSE INSTRUCTORS, add to the trainee’s safety, especially during the Helicopter Underwater Escape Training and Sea Survival exercises using the HUET Module, Aviation & Marine Life Rafts, and Heli-winch set-up, etc.

                                      

4.     DESIGNATED FIRST AIDER & MEDICAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN

Delegate/Trainee safety is PISTA’s FIRST priority and the nature of a few of the Practical training modules emphasize the need for a WELL EQUIPPED MEDICAL ROOM within PISTA Training premises. In line with the OPITO Standards, a qualified Designated First Aider (DFA) is on standby during all practical exercises ensuring that delegates can achieve the desired Learning outcome despite the few risks involved.

 Medical Emergency Response Plans (MERPs) are in place (TIER0, TIER1.TIER2, TIER3 & TIER4) as per the OPITO Standards. An Emergency Response Vehicle is also on- STAND-BY within PISTA premises and a Tie-up with the nearest Specialty Hospital with a dedicated Ambulance service adds to PISTA’s readiness and quick response in case of any unexpected incident.

5.     THE FOOD COURT & PISTA's Wi-Fi+

One of the other most special features of the Training Centre is the ROOFTOP FOOD COURT. With the inflow of delegates from across India, special care is taken to ensure the satisfaction of every delegate’s palate by offering a commonly appreciated menu on a BUFFET SERVICE SET-UP. Tea/Coffee on-demand and Complimentary Wi-Fi thought out the training center is an add-on thereby ensuring comfortable and connected learning environments as the Trainees equip themselves to work in the Offshore O&G Industry worldwide.
